Our Activities
We organise a range of activities, including:

monthly evening meetings and practical learning.

Sunday drives and rides with a social aspect.

masterclasses (eg overtaking; emergency braking & obstacle avoidance; skid-pan training).

treasure hunts.

visits to places of interest to drivers and riders.
-
social events (eg meals; barbeques).
Our Meetings
Our meetings are relaxed, fun and informative! All members, and their guests, are welcome.
We hold meetings on the third Wednesday of most months at the Kenn Centre, Exeter Road, Kennford, EX6 7TN.
The format of our meetings varies, but is often:
-
arrival ready for a 19.30 start.

a presentation from a guest speaker or a member of the Group about an aspect of driving our cars or riding our motorbikes. Nearly always this incorporates an active discussion.

there may then be a drive/ride-out to practice the ideas that have been discussed during the presentation.
-
we always have refreshments (drinks, biscuits, cakes) at some point!
-
if there is a drive/ride, we return to the Kenn Centre for a debrief/discussion.
In the summer, we organise an evening treasure hunt followed by refreshments. A fun event with a route having points to pass-by for the driver/rider to record answers to questions. Then there's a prize at the end. For a description of a recent treasure hunt, check out our Articles section.
At Christmas we hold a social event. In 2021 we had a meal at the Cat and Fiddle pub and in 2022 & 2023 we held an evening "pot-luck-picnic" at the Kenn Centre. Reflections can be found in our Articles section. For 2024, we again had a meal and quiz at the Cat & Fiddle (but in January 2025!) This pattern was decided by a Member's survey.
